Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation |
Established in 1947, our Voice of Democracy audio-essay program provides high school students with the unique opportunity to express themselves in regards to a democratic and patriotic-themed recorded essay. Each year, nearly 40,000 9-12 grade students from across the country enter to win their share of $2.1 million in educational scholarships and incentives awarded through the program.
The national first-place winner receives a $30,000 scholarship paid directly to the recipient’s American university, college or vocational/technical school. A complete list of other national scholarships range from $1,000-$16,000, and the first-place winner from each VFW Department (state) wins a minimum scholarship of $1,000 and an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C. Each year, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation awards 150 college scholarships worth $20,000 to high school students across the United States through the Coca-Cola Scholars Program. Students need a 3.0 GPA and to fill out an online application that requires no essays, no recommendations, and no transcripts by October 31, at 5 p.m. Eastern.

AXA Achievement Scholarship
The AXA Achievementsm Scholarship offers college scholarships of $2,500, $10,000 and $25,000 to high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their activities in school, the community or the workplace. Awards recipients are ethnically and economically diverse, but they share these qualities: ambition and drive; determination to set and reach goals; respect for self, family and community; ability to succeed in college. The scholarship is sponsored by the AXA Equitable Foundation.

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship ProgramThe Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute awards more than $1 million in college scholarships to exceptional student leaders each year. High school seniors nationwide who demonstrate leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship are invited to apply for the 2020 GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program. This program annually provides college-bound students with $10,000 renewable scholarships – up to $40,000 total per recipient – and supports them as they lead and serve in college and beyond. Help put promising young leaders in the running to join our 10th class of Scholars. Share this news with candidates who exemplify these characteristics inside and outside the classroom and encourage them to apply.

John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay ContestIn Profiles in Courage, John F. Kennedy recounted the stories of eight U.S. senators who risked their careers to do what was right for the nation. These leaders demonstrated political courage by taking a stand for the public good in spite of pressure by interest groups, their political party, or even their constituents. The Profile in Courage Essay Contest challenges students to write an original and creative essay that demonstrates an understanding of political courage as described by John F. Kennedy in Profiles in Courage.
The maximum word count is 1,000 with a minimum of 700, not including citations and bibliography. Use at least five varied sources such as government documents, letters, newspaper articles, books, and/or personal interviews. All submissions must adhere to contest requirements. Healthcare Leaders ScholarshipIMPORTANT DATES
Applications Accepted: February 10 - January 29 Final Award Selection: March 15 Scholarship Awarded: Spring Quarter REQUIREMENTS The Healthcare Leaders Scholarship is offered to students entering or currently pursuing an educational program related to NURSING or MEDICINE. Applicant must be a US citizen, at least 17 years of age, and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. All applicants must submit a 600 to 1,000-word essay explaining what they hope to accomplish during their career in the medical field and how the scholarship would fulfill those goals. Recommended topics are included in the Personal Essay section. All applications must be received by January 29th. Finalists will be notified in February and must provide proof of enrollment and GPA (letters of acceptance, transcripts, etc.) before the scholarship recipient is selected. Union Plus ScholarshipCurrent and retired members of participating unions, their spouses and their dependent children (as defined by IRS regulations). Note, grandchildren are not eligible unless the grandchild is a legal dependent (as defined by IRS regulations) of the union member.
At least one year of continuous union membership by the applicant, applicant's spouse or parent (if applicant is a dependent). The one year membership minimum must be satisfied by May 31. Union members do not have to purchase any Union Plus program product or participate in any Union Plus programs to apply for the scholarships and scholarship awards are not based upon participation in a Union Plus program. The applicant must be accepted into a U.S. accredited college or university, community college or technical or trade school at the time the award is issued. KPMG Future Leaders ProgramSelected KPMG Future Leader Recipients receive:
1. An annual scholarship of $10,000 per year for 4 years of college. 2. A KPMG Future Leaders retreat that will focus on leadership training, career development, and the college transition. Please note, we are hoping to plan for an in-person retreat in Summer 2021. However, the health and safety of our participants is our top priority. We will continue to assess the situation and will consider a virtual model if necessary. 3. A pairing with a mentor for one year; the mentor being a female executive that attended the KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit. AABE Scholarships: Through the work of various members of the AABE National Scholarship Committee, Chapter Presidents, Regional Directors, local Scholarship Committees and many AABE volunteers nationwide, the AABE Scholarship Program is advertised and applications are solicited from eligible candidates nation-wide. AABE local chapters review the applications received and select local scholarship winners, from which the top ranked candidates are forwarded to the National Scholarship Committee for consideration of regional and national awards.

Applicants must be enrolled, or due to be enrolled, as a full-time student at an accredited US college or university for the semester that they are applying to receive the scholarship. Domestic, international, online and undocumented students are welcome to apply.
Applicants are welcome to submit their entry before the deadline on March 20th every year. Mattress Advisor will contact the winning applicant and their institution’s financial aid office the following week to gift a $1000 check towards educational expenses. The scholarship is non-renewable. Applicants need to submit a written piece exploring their personal relationship with sleep health and the impact it’s had on their education in an 800-1000 word essay. It should quote research from recent studies in this field and explain what resources are available to help reduce poor sleep health. Applicants need to upload proof of enrollment. We’re asking you to spend some time thinking and writing about your responsibility towards ending or improving homelessness. This could be homelessness in your immediate community or the problem of homelessness in general. Think about what causes the problem of homelessness. Do you even think it is a problem we should solve? Does every individual need to have a house or is it ok that some may prefer to live differently? What is the difference between being a vagabond and being homeless? What can you do to help those in our society who would like to have a home but don’t have one?
